Marina Rosales Benites de Franco, <p>Universidad Nacional Federico Villarreal</p>

My degree is Doctor in Environment and Sustainable Development, Magister Scietiae Forest Resources Conservation, Doctor Economy Candidate.

Professor at the Federico Villarreal National University, teaching on biodiversity and protected areas, ecology, endangered ecosystems and land and marine ecosystems. My research is on parrots conservation, sustainable uses of wildlife, access and benefit sharing of genetic resources, endangered ecosystems and wildlife trade. I also work the Peruvian National Service of Protected Areas (SERNANP). I was in charge of the Management and Scientific Authority for CITES and was responsible for the CMS Focal Point and Programme of Work on Protected Areas of the CBD.  I am part of GEO 6 global pool of experts and expert for the Intergovernmental Science-Policy Platform on Biodiversity and Ecosystem Services (IPBES).
