Main Article Content
Abstract
Birds are a highly studied taxonomic group since they are easily identifiable and are environmental indicators of the characteristics of a habitat, they provide various ecosystem services by acting as pest controllers, pollinators and seed dispersers; Peru has one of the greatest diversities with around 1892 species of which 117 are endemic. This research shows the recording of data from the evaluation of avifauna through strata in two altitudinal gradients in the districts of Utco - Cajamarca and Balsas - Amazonas in northern Peru. The database shows the record of 167 species (11 endemic), 112 in the altitudinal gradient of the Utco district and 139 in the altitudinal gradient of the Balsas district, information obtained between July 2017 and July 2018.
