Abstract

Megadiverse countries are located in the tropics, and their cities are growing rapidly. It is essential that these cities act as additional spaces for biological conservation, but there is a knowledge gap regarding the ecology and biological diversity of tropical cities. Our book, entitled “Ecology of Tropical Cities: Natural and Social Sciences Applied to the Conservation of Urban Biodiversity”, aims to compile knowledge about the ecology and biological diversity of tropical cities of various scales
