Ecosistemas at congresses!

This June the editorial board of Ecosistemas has participated in an international congress, ‘III Sibecol & XVII AEET Meeting’ in Pontevedra, and in a national one, the 9th National Forestry Congress, in Gijón.

In Pontevedra, Ecosistemas had a stand where the editorial team informed about the journal and its news to anyone who was interested. In addition, Ecosistemas had the opportunity to give the following surprise talk ‘Another open and fairer publishing system is possible (and necessary)’ which you can read in full here on the AEET Blog.

In the 9th National Forestry Congress Ecosistemas participated in the workshop ‘Open Forest Science: from data to publication’ as a Diamond and open access journal and as an example of a journal that is promoting transparency and reproducibility in ecology through different types of contributions such as eco-informatics notes and data papers.

From the editorial board we will continue to disseminate and defend the need for the existence and support of Diamond Open Access journals such as Ecosistemas that are at the service of science and not profit!
